#1 THE ORIGINAL BIKE …

So, this is the start of all, 1994 Honda Africa Twin 750 RD07 with almost 100 thousands kilometers, old and tired, but still with that great look, that agressive style and indestructible

engine.

This is the begining, stay tuned.

#2 FIRST STEPS …

So,
Here some updates of how is going Mata de Agua, pieces removed, liking a lot this old school look with that naked fairings, but is not how it’s going to look at the end.

Everytime more sure about the bike that I choose for this project, we are getting there step by step, thanks to @perfectfairings for being the builders of not just a bike, but a dream. Thank you for stay tuned ✌.

The bike arrived on ‘PERFECT FAIRINGS’ workshop ,first all the plastics removed and then we take care of removing the front headlight and holder .

Also we have removed the high fender .

More parts removed 🙂 , we are getting there !

#3 RALLY PARTS PREPARATION …

With the bike full nakes , only the fuel tank and seat is on their place , we start working on the new parts which are crucial for the next steps of our project .

How we done it …

The very first we did was to match the navigation tower on the bike ,that was easy i have to say as the only we did was a new hole on the navigation tower attachment .The navigation tower was on its place ,we add also the new windshield and we start fabricate the new side panels .

Now we had a base to start working on the side panels , our goal was to keep the OEM look of the side panels and same time give a modern look …

After a few hours of designing , cutting and putting extra parts we had a design which was match our taste . A design which is nice on the bike ,still reminds you the Africa Twin side panels but same time they match perfectly with the new modern Dakar windshield and navigation tower .

Rear fender also done , we removed the old school rear part and brake light . We kept all the original mounting points and the standard mounding shape but we did it modern and with a nice LED brake light .

The bike was in need for more “modern” parts . So our designer was quite busy to design some very very nice new parts ! Radiator protection , chain guard , chain protector and frame covers are now available for our project !!

Made from inox and cutted on a latest technology laser machine .

#4 FITTING THE NEW PARTS AND TEST RIDE…

“Many things to do, bike looking amazing but a little weird and unfinished with those colours, any way it’s summer in Greece so camping in the beach is something that cannot wait 😜.

I’m having a lot of front suspension issues, im thinking eighter fix the original suspension or to change it for a different after market one, what do you guys think?

#5 FINAL TOUCHES AND WE ARE READY …

The bike needs a new graphic design ,this is the final step on every project we involved . We do things step by step ,we need time to do things as must be “FACTORY” . These 2 pictures can saw you what we like to see when a project is finished .. Just see the owener face and his smile !! This is our reward , happy faces with a great new bike on your hands !
